

I was reading about the difference between spartan-7 and Artix-7 and from what I understood the major difference is the inbuilt additional gpt transceivers as referenced here in Xillinx transceiver pdf linkĪnd I was curious if I should use a spartan-7 model or an artix-7, I am sure that my requirements will fit the amount of logic cells the Spartan-7 has (without accounting for the blocks I would need to communication protocol handling), along with having my speed requirements, and since they are both based on the same architecture by my understanding their power draw per logic cell is similar too, which leads me to differentiate based on the pricing and the additional transceivers on the artix-7 which I’m confused about if I need it , I’m very very new to the FPGA space but I’m building my own product, and in this case I needed an FPGA which would need a data throughput of about 40 Mbps max at any point of time, The distance of transferring the signal is very short just across the pcb itself so I was thinking of using SPI for this ,
